Maruthi Granites

Maruthi Granites is located at 23 Adugodi Ayyappa Garden. We are right near the Mico Back Gate in the Adugodi Post area. It is an industrial kind of spot. There is always a bit of dust in the air from the stone work. We have slabs of granite leaning against the walls. They are heavy and cold to the touch. The yard is usually full of pieces of stone in different colors. We have been at this Adugodi address for many years now. The noise from the Mico gate is constant with trucks and people. Our office is just a small cabin at the front. It has a big window so we can see who is coming into the garden area. We spend most of our time outside though. It is not the kind of job where you sit still. You have to be careful where you step. We have some old machinery that we use for cutting and polishing. It makes a lot of noise but we are used to it. The neighbors are mostly other workshops and small businesses. We all get along okay. Sometimes we share a water jug or help each other out with a heavy lift. It is a gritty place but it is our place. We just keep working the stone and watching the traffic go by. The sun reflects off the polished pieces in the afternoon, which is quite a sight if you catch it right.
