Marriott International Hotels

We are working out of the office on 13/5 Doopanahalli Main Road here in Bangalore. This is where a lot of the Marriott International Hotels stuff gets handled behind the scenes. It isn't the big fancy hotel lobby you might expect when you hear the name. It’s more of a workspace with computers, desks, and a lot of filing cabinets. We deal with the day-to-day operations and making sure the hotel side of things runs like it should. Doopanahalli is a lively area and there’s always something happening on the main road outside. You can hear the traffic and the street vendors all day long. A lot of our time is spent on emails and talking to the different departments. We have people coming in and out all the time, from delivery guys to managers from other branches. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the different sections. We have a small break room where we all eat lunch and talk about our families. Even though it's a big name, the office feels quite local because most of us live nearby. We are just regular people trying to keep everything organized so the guests at the hotels have a good experience. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fans going. We don't really do much marketing from this desk, we just focus on the logistics and the paperwork that keeps the whole thing moving for everyone involved.
