Marketing And Design Engineer

This is a small operation located here in the West Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh. We go by Marketing And Design Engineer, and we’ve been working out of this area for quite some time. The setup is pretty basic. It’s mostly just a desk, a couple of good computers, and a lot of drawing tools. We do a mix of things, from designing parts to figuring out how to tell people about them. It’s a bit of a niche, but it keeps us on our toes. The local area is quiet, which helps when you need to concentrate on a complicated design. We don't have a big staff. It’s more of a personal business where the person who answers the phone is the same one doing the work. P. Sowjanya handles the day-to-day things. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to take a break, but that’s just part of living in this part of India. We don't have a fancy office with a view. It’s just a room that smells a bit like paper and old electronics. We enjoy the challenge of taking a rough idea and turning it into something real. Most of our neighbors know what we do, even if they don't quite understand the engineering part of it. We just keep our heads down and do the best we can with every project that comes through the door.
