At Marbles & Marble, we spend our time surrounded by heavy stone. Our yard is at 906 Prakash Nagar, specifically on the 3rd Main Road in Sri Rampura. It’s a place where things are heavy and hard to move. We have slabs of stone leaning against the walls and stacked in the back. It’s a bit of a workout every single day. We didn't want a fancy name, so we just went with what we sell. People come by when they are building a house and want something that lasts. The dust from cutting the stone gets everywhere, so we are always wearing old clothes and boots. We’ve been in Sri Rampura for a while and we know the 3rd Main Road like the back of our hand. It’s not a clean, polished office environment. It’s a working yard with cranes and water running to keep the saws cool. We talk to people about different types of rock and what might look okay in their kitchen or on their floor. We don't try to push anyone into buying the most expensive thing. We just show what’s in the yard and let them decide. It’s honest work. Sometimes a piece breaks and we have to start over, but that’s just part of dealing with natural stone. We keep our gates open and stay busy until the sun goes down.
