Manjusree Battery is located over in BTM Layout at 335/58. It’s a small shop, mostly filled with heavy items that we have to move around constantly. If you walk in, you’ll probably see some boxes stacked up and some tools lying around on the workbench. It’s not the cleanest place, but that’s because we’re always working with our hands and equipment. The floor is concrete and can get a bit dusty during the dry months. We’ve been at this address for a bit, and most folks in BTM know the area well. Sometimes it gets crowded when a delivery truck pulls up, and we have to shuffle things to the back to make room. It’s just me and a couple of others here most days. We drink a lot of tea and talk to the regulars who stop by to ask questions or just say hello. The lighting isn’t great in the back corner, so we use a torch when we need to find something specific on the shelves. We don’t do much advertising, just have the name on the front and hope people see it when they drive by. Dealing with batteries is heavy work, and our backs usually ache by the end of the shift. But it’s a living, and we like being part of this neighborhood. The traffic on the main road can be a headache, but we’re tucked away enough that it’s not too bad. We just keep the doors open and get through the list of things to do before we head home for the night.
