Mahalaxmi Marble & Granite Bengaluru is out at Survey No. 91/1 on the Harapanahalli Main Road in Jigani Hobli. This is in the Anekal Taluk area, which is where a lot of the stone business happens in Bangalore. We have a very large space here because we need it for the massive slabs of granite and marble. It is quite a long way from the city center, but this is where the space is available. We spend our time managing the stock and helping people choose the right slabs for their projects. There are big cranes and machines that we use to move the heavy stones around. It is a bit of a dusty environment and you have to watch your step with all the stone pieces on the ground. We have a small office on the property where we take care of the bills and talk to the people who visit. The road out here is often busy with heavy vehicles carrying stone just like ours. We usually start our day very early because the heat can be tough later on in the afternoon. Most of the people who come out this far are looking for something specific for a big building or a new home. We just show them what is available in the yard and let the stone speak for itself. It is a simple, hardworking place and we spend most of our time outdoors among the materials.
