Our workshop is tucked away in Malleshwaram 56, right in the heart of the old neighborhood. We mostly deal with UPS systems and batteries that people need to keep their lights on when the power goes out. It’s a heavy job, literally, because those units are not light. Most mornings start with moving crates around to make space for the day's work. The floor is usually covered in some wires or tools we forgot to put back the night before. It’s a bit dusty in here, but that’s just how an electrical shop ends up looking after a few years. We know most of the people on this street by name now. They come in when their backup starts making a weird beeping noise. We spend a lot of time testing circuits and making sure the batteries are holding a charge like they should. It’s not the cleanest work, and our hands are usually stained with something, but it’s what we know. Malleshwaram is a nice area to work in because you can always find good coffee nearby when the afternoon slump hits. We don't have a big sign out front, just the address 56 on the door. People find us anyway through word of mouth or because they’ve seen us hauling equipment in and out. It’s a steady pace, nothing too crazy, just keeping things running for the folks around here.
