M R Badrinath

I’ve been working here at 5 Nagarabhavi Chauta Bazaar for a long time now. The bazaar stays busy from the morning until the sun goes down, and you can always hear the traffic and people chatting outside the door. Most days start early for me. I unlock the shutters, sweep the front a bit, and get settled at my desk before the crowd really starts moving through the streets. It’s not a fancy place, just a workspace where I handle my day-to-day business. People around here know the name M R Badrinath, mostly because I’ve stayed put in the same spot while other shops have come and gone. Nagarabhavi has changed a lot since I first set up. There are more cars now and everything feels faster, but the bazaar still has that old feeling where everyone knows each other’s faces. I spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to people who drop by. Sometimes the power goes out or the rain makes it hard to get through the lane, but that’s just how it is living and working in this part of town. I don’t really have a big team or anything. It is mostly just me making sure everything is in order and the paperwork is handled properly. If you walk down the main road, you can’t really miss this area. It gets loud, but it’s home. I like being right in the middle of all that activity.
