M K Marbles & Granites

We’ve been working out of this yard on Hosur Road for a long time now. You can find us right at the 18th Cross in Sector 7. It’s a dusty business, dealing with marbles and granites all day, but we like it. We have big slabs of stone leaning against the walls and smaller tiles stacked up in the back. People come here when they are building a new house or maybe just fixing up a kitchen. They walk around the lot, touching the different surfaces to see what feels right for their floors. We don't have a fancy showroom with air conditioning; it’s mostly just the warehouse and the outdoor space where the heavy stuff stays. Moving these stones takes a lot of work and a few strong hands. We tell people the truth about which marble stains easily and which granite lasts forever. There’s no point in lying about it because they’ll just be unhappy later. The traffic on Hosur Road is usually a nightmare, so we’ve gotten used to the sound of horns while we talk to customers. It’s a straightforward trade. We get the stone in, we show it to whoever needs it, and we help them get it loaded onto their trucks. It’s hard work, and our clothes usually end up covered in white powder by noon, but that’s just how it goes in this business.
