Le Meridien

No. 28 Sankey Road is a pretty well-known spot if you live in this part of town. It’s got that old Bangalore feel even though things are changing so fast around us. We are right there near the golf course and all the big trees. It’s a bit quieter than the central business district, but the traffic still picks up around five. We spend our days here doing the usual hotel stuff. It’s not a glamorous life behind the scenes, mostly just checking schedules and making sure the lobby doesn't look cluttered. We don't have some big philosophy about it. We just show up, do the work, and go home. The building has been here for a while and you can tell in some spots, but that’s just how it is. We see all kinds of people, from businessmen who are always on their phones to families who are just trying to find the pool. Sometimes the elevators are slow or the phone rings too much, but we just handle it. It’s a solid place to work. We don’t try to be something we aren't. It’s just a hotel on a nice road with a lot of history. We keep the water running and the lights on and try to be helpful when someone asks a question. That’s really all there is to it at the end of the day. We just keep our heads down and do the job.
