Le Meridien

We are based at Le Meridien here in Bangalore, Karnataka. The address is right in the 560052 area. It’s a big building, and being part of the staff here means you’re always on the move. The lobby is usually full of people coming and going, carrying suitcases or waiting for taxis. We work in the back offices and the common areas, just trying to keep everything tidy and organized. It is a busy environment every single day. There isn’t much time for sitting around. We use simple English to talk to each other and get the work done. Whether it’s fixing something or checking a guest in, it’s just about being there and doing the task. We don’t have a big mission statement that we talk about; we just know what needs to happen to keep the building running. The city outside is loud and fast, but inside we try to keep things moving steadily. We have a lot of different people working here from all over. We eat our lunch in the staff room and talk about regular things like the weather or the local news. It’s a job like any other, even if the building is large. We aren't trying to sell you anything with this description. It’s just how it is working at this spot in Bangalore. We show up, do the hours, and head home like everyone else.
