Lake N Bake Hotel Barbees

You can find us over at Dickenson Road, specifically at number 12 on Jaywant Sawant Marg. It’s a bit of an old building, but it has its own character. We handle a mix of things here, between the rooms and the food side of things. It keeps us busy from early morning until late at night. The kitchen is always going with something or other. We’ve got a few staff members who have been with us since the start. We aren't a big chain or anything like that. We’re just a local hotel and eatery trying to keep things running smooth. Sometimes the plumbing acts up or a light bulb goes out, but that’s just part of running an older place. We spend a lot of time talking to the guests who stay with us. Some are here for work and others are just passing through. We like the location because it’s central, though the traffic on Jaywant Sawant Marg can get pretty loud during rush hour. We don’t have a fancy lobby with marble floors. It’s just a plain desk and some chairs. The food is what we’d eat at home. We just do our best to keep the place clean and welcoming for whoever needs a bed or a meal. It’s a lot of laundry and a lot of cooking, but we’re used to the rhythm of it by now. We focus on the daily chores and making sure everything is in its place.
