If you look across from the Dg Petrol Bunk in Padmanabha Nagar, you’ll see the yard for Krizale Sand Suppliers. It’s mostly just big piles of sand and a few old trucks. We started this because people around here were building so much. Padmanabha Nagar is growing fast. New houses go up every single week. It keeps us on our toes. The traffic near the petrol bunk is often a headache. Especially when we try to move the big lorries out into the street. We have to be very careful. The guys who work here live nearby. We aren't a massive company with a board of directors. Just a small team getting sand to where it needs to be. Sometimes the sand is soaked from the rain and other times it’s bone dry. We handle it as it comes. It’s a gritty way to earn a living. My shoes are always full of sand by the afternoon. That’s fine. We don’t have a fancy website or any of that. Just our name painted on a board. People stop by when they’re building a wall or a new room. We give them a price and they usually come back. It’s honest work. We spend the whole day outside instead of in a cubicle. Sometimes the wind blows the sand into the office shack, but we just sweep it out. We’re here every day except Sunday. It's a simple life but it keeps us moving.
