Krishna Tiles

Krishna Tiles sits right on 56, Ravindra Nagar Main Road in Ganga Nagar. It’s a busy street, so there is always something going on outside our door. Inside, it’s a bit quieter, mostly just the sound of tiles being shifted around. I’ve spent more hours in this shop than I can count. We have all sorts of styles leaning against the walls and stacked in the corners. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but we manage to find what people are looking for eventually. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a website that does fancy things. Most of our business comes from people walking by or local contractors who know we are here. My day usually starts with a list of things to do and ends with half of them actually finished because something always comes up. Whether it’s a delivery that’s late or a customer who needs help picking a color, we just take it as it comes. We aren't experts in interior design, but we know what sells and what lasts. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but our little corner of Ravindra Nagar stays pretty much the same. It’s a lot of manual labor, carrying heavy boxes and helping load up cars. It keeps us fit, I guess. We just try to be helpful and get the job done without making a big deal out of it.
