Krishna Granites & Marbles

Our shop, Krishna Granites & Marbles, is situated at 26/325 on Kolar Road. We are right near the Chanarayapatna Circle in Vijayapura, so it is a landmark most people recognize. The traffic around the circle can be a bit of a headache during the morning rush, but things settle down eventually. We have a mix of granite and marble slabs stacked up throughout the premises. Some of the marble is quite light in color, so we try to keep it under the shed so it doesn't get too much grime on it from the road. The granite is much tougher and handles the outdoor air just fine. We have a small crew here who knows the inventory inside out. If someone asks for a specific shade of grey or black, we usually know exactly which pile it’s buried under. Working in Vijayapura means we deal with a lot of local builders and homeowners who just want something sturdy. The shop itself is nothing special to look at, just a place where we store and move heavy materials. We use a lot of water for the cutting and polishing bits, so the floor is often a bit damp. It’s a lot of physical labor, but we’ve gotten used to the weight of the stone over the years. We stay open until the sun goes down most days at 26/325 Kolar Road and just deal with whatever comes our way next.
