We’ve been here at No. 39/2B on KR Road for a long time. People around here know us as Eureka Windoor Systems, but the address is a bit confusing because the city changed it to New No. 103 a while back. We are right across the street from the Jain Prakruthi Apartment in the BSK 2nd Stage area. If you see the big gates of the apartment, you are basically here. Our shop floor is usually a bit of a mess with aluminum cuttings and glass sheets leaning against the walls. It isn't a polished showroom with fancy carpets. It’s just a practical space where we cut frames and fix hinges all day. The noise from the traffic on KR Road is constant, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We spend a lot of time measuring things twice and making sure the tracks for the sliding windows are smooth. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we take a break on the front step. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the afternoon, so we usually pull the shade down halfway. There are about four of us working here most days. We don’t have any big slogans or flashy signs. We just move the stock, answer the phone when it rings, and try to keep the dust off the finished pieces before they go out. It’s a lot of lifting and carrying, but it keeps us busy from morning till the evening.
