Konar Hotel

Konar Hotel is right on Dr Rajukumar Road in the 2nd Block of Mathikere. If you know this area, you know it’s always moving. We open early to get the stoves hot. We focus on the kind of food that fills you up and doesn't cost a fortune. It’s the sort of cooking we learned from our families. The dining room isn't fancy. We have basic tables and chairs, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re too busy in the kitchen to worry about that right now. You can hear the sounds of the traffic from the street and the clinking of plates from the back. It’s a noisy, lively place. We get all sorts of people coming in—students, workers, families. Everyone is welcome as long as they’re hungry. The menu is mostly traditional stuff that we make fresh every morning. We don’t use frozen things if we can help it. Mathikere is a great spot because there’s always someone looking for a good meal. We’ve had some long days where we’re still cleaning up at midnight, but that’s just how it is in the hotel business. We don't try to be something we’re not. We’re just a local hotel serving honest food on a busy road. Come in, sit down, and eat. That’s the whole idea behind Konar Hotel.
