Kolkata Rolls Hotel

Our place is located right in Krishnarajapuram, sitting directly across from Garden City College. Being near a college means we see a lot of students every single day. They are always in a hurry, running between classes or looking for something to eat that won't cost them too much. We started this because there was a need for a straightforward food spot in the 560016 area. It’s not a very big setup, but it works for us and the people who live around here. Sometimes the traffic outside is just terrible, and the dust from the road gets everywhere if we aren't careful. We spend a lot of time just cleaning up and getting ready for the next rush of people. The menu isn't complicated at all. We just do the rolls and the usual items you'd expect from a place called Kolkata Rolls Hotel. People often ask why we call it a hotel when it's mostly about the food, but that's just the name we went with. On rainy days, the area gets a bit muddy, but the students still show up anyway. We know most of the regulars by face now, even if we don't know all their names. It’s a local business through and through. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It's just us working in the kitchen and serving the neighborhood. It’s a bit loud and messy sometimes, but that’s just life in this part of town and we wouldn't change it.
