Karen Motors

You’ll find Karen Motors at No.69 on Markham Road in Ashoknagar. It’s a decent spot, a bit quieter than the main commercial hubs but still quite active. We’ve been operating out of this building for a long time. It’s a local garage and parts shop where things are done the old-fashioned way. We don't use computers for everything; sometimes a notebook and a pen are just faster. The shop is usually filled with the smell of oil and old metal. We work on all sorts of cars that come through the neighborhood. Some days we are under the hood of a car for hours, and other days we’re just selling spare parts to people who want to fix things themselves. We have a small crew here, mostly guys who have been working with motors their whole lives. We don't bother with fancy uniforms or a shiny reception area. There’s a bench where you can sit if you’re waiting, but it’s mostly just a place for work. Ashoknagar is a nice area to be in, and we like the people around here. We try to be direct with everyone and just tell them what’s wrong with their vehicle without any extra talk. It’s a steady life, keeping the neighborhood’s cars running. We open up at a regular time and stay until the last job is done for the day. We've seen a lot of regulars come and go over the years, but the work stays the same.
