Iaz Engineering Work

The shop is at No 5 on the 18th Cross Hall Road Extension. It’s a place where things actually get made and fixed. If you come by, you’ll probably hear the sound of metal hitting metal or the loud whirr of a machine. It’s usually a bit greasy because that’s just the nature of engineering work. We handle a lot of different parts and pieces that people bring in when they break. Our hands are rarely clean by the end of the day. The Hall Road Extension area has a lot of small shops like ours. We have some old machines that still work better than the new ones. We don’t have a fancy waiting room or anything like that. People usually just stand around and watch us work or come back later in the week. It gets hot inside when we are doing welding or running the heavy equipment for too long. We have a few benches where we keep our tools all lined up, though they never stay organized for long. Most of our customers are locals or small businesses who need something fixed quickly so they can get back to their own jobs. It’s noisy and messy, but there’s something good about taking a piece of scrap and making it useful again. We just do the work and try to keep the machines running for everyone who needs them.
