K K Arts

Over in Chamarajpet, we have our shop K K Arts at No.104, 6th Cross, 2nd Main. We are very close to the Male Mahadeshwara Temple, which is a big landmark for anyone trying to find us. The streets around here are quite narrow and can get pretty crowded during temple festivals. We do a lot of work related to traditional art and some printing for the local community. The shop has been here for a good amount of time and the walls are covered with old photos and designs we’ve done over the years. We use a mix of old techniques and some newer ones when we have to. It’s a small space, so we have to be careful not to trip over things. Usually, there’s some incense burning because of the temple nearby, and it gives the shop a calm feel. We don't have any big sales pitches or fancy brochures. People just come in, tell us what they need, and we figure out a way to do it. Sometimes it takes a little longer than planned if we have a lot of walk-ins, but we try our best. It’s a quiet life mostly, centered around the rhythms of Chamarajpet and the temple activities. We like being part of this neighborhood and plan to stay here for a long time, just doing our daily work. It’s nothing spectacular but it is what we know and like.
