K B Traders is tucked away in Balepet 3. It is a small space, but we manage to fit a lot of stuff inside those walls. Balepet is always crowded, so getting things in and out can be a bit of a challenge with the narrow streets and all the people walking around. We’ve been at number 3 for quite a while now. Most days involve a lot of counting and checking stock. We sell various goods to local shops and individuals who know we are here. The front door is usually propped open to let some air in, though it also lets in all the noise from the market outside. We have a couple of desks piled high with ledgers and receipts because we still prefer doing things on paper mostly. It’s easier to keep track of that way when things get hectic. We aren't a big corporation with fancy uniforms; we just wear whatever is comfortable for moving boxes. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to use flashlights to find things in the back corners. We know the other shopkeepers on the block, and we often share tea in the afternoons when things slow down a bit. It’s a simple operation, really. We buy things, we store them, and then we sell them to people who need them. There isn't much more to it than that. We just try to be fair and keep our regulars coming back to Balepet 3. It's just a normal job.
