Johny

This place is called Johny, and we are located at 18/1 on 4th Main in Chamrajpet. It’s a quiet enough street compared to some of the main roads in Bangalore. We’ve been here for a while. It’s not a huge operation, just a small shop where we keep the things people in the neighborhood usually ask for. We don't try to be anything we're not. There are no shiny signs or big glass windows here. Just a door and some shelves. We spend a lot of time just chatting with the people who live nearby. Chamrajpet has a very specific feel to it, and we fit right in with the older buildings and the trees. Sometimes it’s hard to find parking on 4th Main, which annoys the customers, but that’s not something we can fix. We just run the shop as best as we can. We aren't interested in being the biggest or the best. We just want to make sure the people who come in get what they're looking for and go home happy enough. We do our own accounting and cleaning. It keeps us busy. Some days the tea stall guy next door brings us some chai and we just watch the traffic go by. It’s a decent way to spend the day. If you’re around Chamrajpet, stop by. Or don’t, it’s up to you. We’ll be here regardless, doing what we always do.
