Our yard is situated in Haragadde Village, which is part of the Jigani Hobli area in Anekal Taluk. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here, past a lot of green fields and other stone yards. The address is Survey No. 111/1. Because we are in the village area, we have a lot of space to keep huge blocks of stone. It’s dusty work and the sun can be really strong out in the open. We have a small shed where we keep the tools and take our breaks. Most of the guys working here live nearby in the village. We wake up early to beat the heat and get the cranes moving. There’s always a lot of mud when it rains, which makes moving the trucks a bit difficult. We don't have a computer system that’s very advanced, we mostly write everything down in big ledgers. It’s how we’ve always done it. People come here when they need large quantities of stone because we have the room to stock it. It is quiet out here except for the sound of the saws and the occasional truck horn. We don't do fancy marketing or have a website. If you need stone, you just come down to Haragadde and look for us. We’ll show you what we’ve got and figure out a price. It’s a simple way of doing business that has worked for us for a long time without any trouble.
