Sona Marbles

Our place is right over in the Jigani Industrial Area. We are in the second phase, quite close to Basant Betons if you know where that is. It is a busy spot. There is always some kind of construction going on or a truck reversing into a narrow space. We deal with marbles mostly. The yard is filled with stacks of slabs that we've brought in. It gets quite messy with the water and the stone dust when the cutting starts. You have to wear boots or your shoes get ruined pretty fast. The guys here usually start early before it gets too hot. It is not some big corporate office. It is just a workspace with a small area to sit and talk. We have all kinds of patterns in the stone, some with more veins than others. Sometimes a customer comes by and spends an hour just looking at different piles of marble. We don't mind. It is part of the job to let them see everything. The sun can get really strong in the afternoon, so we try to get the heavy lifting done in the morning hours. Usually, there is a lot of noise from the neighboring units too. It is just how things are in Jigani. We just keep doing our thing, day in and day out, moving stone and keeping the records straight on what is coming in and what is going out to sites for people's homes and projects.
