Jayamahal Palace Hotel

Our place is tucked away in Nanjappa Layout, right behind Nandhi Marbels in Vidyaranyapura. It’s a bit of a quiet spot compared to the center of Bangalore, which is nice because the noise isn’t as bad. We have been operating from this address for some time. Most of the guys working here live nearby, so they know the neighborhood like the back of their hand. Every morning, we open up and start the usual routine of checking things. It’s a hotel, so you can imagine there is always a lot of cleaning and moving stuff around. We get people who are looking for a place to stay that isn't right in the middle of the heavy city traffic. Bangalore is growing so fast, but this little corner of Vidyaranyapura still feels a bit more relaxed. We don’t have a big corporate team or anything like that, just us making sure the guests have what they need and the gardens look decent. Sometimes the rain catches us off guard and we have to scurry to get things inside. It is just regular work. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just run a hotel and try to keep things simple for anyone who walks through the door. It’s a job we enjoy most days, even when things get a little bit hectic during the wedding season or on the busy weekends when everyone is traveling.
