Jagnath Granite

We are over at 1070/1071 in Vidyaranyapura, right on the Udhna Magdalla Road. The place is part of the Valinath Society area. Jagnath Granite has been sitting on this lot for quite some time now. Dealing with stone is what we know. The yard is always a bit of a mess with pieces of rock and some mud if it has been raining. It’s hard work and it gets very hot out here during the day. We have a small office shed where we keep the books, but mostly we are outside. We get a lot of trucks coming in and out because of the main road nearby. It’s not a quiet place at all. My father started this and now I’m the one looking after it. We don't have a fancy catalog to show you. You just walk around the yard and see what slabs we have leaning against the walls. We cut the pieces to what the customer needs. It’s simple and we don't try to make it sound like more than it is. Most of our customers are builders from around Surat who know we have been here for years. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s not a polished business, just a yard full of granite and people who know how to cut it. We work from early morning until the trucks stop coming. It is just how life goes here.
