Granites Online

Even though the name is Granites Online, we spend most of our time right here at No. 26 on 16th Cross in the 5th Phase. It's a busy part of the neighborhood and we’ve seen a lot of changes over the years. The stone business is one of those things that doesn't really change much though. You still have to haul heavy slabs and make sure they don't break during transport. We started this because there was a need for good quality stone nearby and we had the space for it. The yard is usually full of different types of granite stacked against the walls. It isn't the cleanest place in the world because of all the stone dust, but it’s where the work happens. People come by to pick out pieces for their countertops or maybe a small vanity. We don't have a big sales team or anything. Usually, it’s just one of us coming out from the back to help whoever walked in. We try to be helpful without being pushy. If you like a piece, you take it. If not, maybe we get something else in next week that fits better. It’s a lot of waiting for trucks to arrive and then more work getting the slabs offloaded. We’ve grown used to the heavy lifting. It’s just how we make a living here on 16th Cross, keeping things moving and helping folks get their houses finished.
