J C Filaments

Out on Kamakshi Palya Main Road, we run J C Filaments from our space at 22098. It’s an industrial sort of setup where the sound of machinery is the background noise for everything we do. We deal mostly with threads and filament materials, so the air usually has a bit of lint floating around. It’s not a place for someone who likes a quiet office. We have several machines running at once, and someone always has to be watching to make sure nothing gets tangled or snapped. Most of our day is spent checking the tension on the lines and packing up the finished spools into boxes. The floors are concrete and the lighting is just those long fluorescent tubes that hum a bit. It’s practical, honest work. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know how to fix the machines when they act up. Sometimes a delivery truck gets stuck in the traffic on the main road, and we have to wait around to load the crates. The neighborhood is busy with other small businesses, so there is always someone moving something. We’ve been at this for a while and don't really know any other way to work. It gets hot in the summer with the motors running, but we keep the fans going and stay on task. It’s a local operation, and we take pride in just keeping the machines humming every day.
