Ishrae

Our office is on the first floor over at Wilson Garden, specifically No. 213/60 on 11th Cross. It’s an older building, so the stairs are a bit steep and narrow. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, chairs, and a lot of technical manuals stacked up. We deal with heating and cooling stuff, mostly for engineers and students who are interested in that field. The 11th Cross area is quite busy, so there’s always the sound of traffic coming through the windows. We’ve got a small pantry where we make coffee, and that’s usually where most of the actual talking happens. It’s not a corporate headquarters with glass walls. It’s more of a place where people drop in to ask questions or pick up some papers. We’ve got some old posters on the wall that have been there for years. Sometimes the power cuts out and we just open the windows and wait. It gets a bit dusty because of the road work that always seems to be happening nearby. We don’t have a receptionist in a suit; usually, whoever is closest to the door just looks up and says hello. It’s a simple setup for people who are serious about their work. We’ve been in this part of Bangalore for a long time, so we know all the local spots for a quick meal. The roof leaks a tiny bit when it rains hard, but we manage.
