Hotel Teja

Our place, Hotel Teja, is situated at 442 Main Road in the Vijayanagar area of Mysore. We are specifically over in the Railway Layout part of the neighborhood, near the 570017 zip code. It’s a nice enough area, and we’ve been here at Anugraha for a while now. Being on the Main Road means we are easy to find, which helps since we don't do much advertising. We mostly get people who hear about us from their friends or just happen to be driving by. The daily routine here involves a lot of cleaning and making sure the water heaters are working right. My brother and I take turns watching the place at night, and we usually have some tea while we wait for late arrivals. Mysore is a beautiful city, and we like being part of the community here in Vijayanagar. We have some regulars who stay with us every time they come to town for work. We don't have a big fancy lobby, just a small area where people can sit for a minute while they get their keys. The neighborhood is fairly quiet at night, which is good for the guests. We spend our weekends catching up on repairs around the building, like painting over scuffs on the walls or fixing a leaky tap. It’s just a regular hotel run by regular people who care about their work. We don't try to be something we're not.
