Hotel St. Marks

Hotel St. Marks is situated at 4/1 St. Marks Road in the heart of Bangalore. Our building has been here for a good while, and we see people from all over the world walking through our lobby. It’s a busy street outside, but we try to keep things calm once you step through the doors. The staff here is a mix of folks who have been with us for years and some newer faces learning the ropes. We spend our time checking people in, making sure the rooms are ready, and helping with bags. Sometimes the elevators are a bit slow when the hotel is full, but we manage to get everyone where they need to go. We don’t have a fancy script for when we talk to guests; we just try to be helpful and polite. The kitchen stays busy starting early in the morning for breakfast, and you can usually smell the coffee all the way down the hall. We have some plants in the lobby that we try our best to keep alive, and the furniture is comfortable even if it isn’t brand new. Bangalore is a fast city, but we like to think of our place as a spot where you can just sit down and take a breath. We handle everything from big meetings to solo travelers who just need a bed for the night. It’s a lot of work keeping a hotel running, but we just take it one day at a time.
