Hotel Sichi Sagar

We are located over in Rabrindranath Tagore Nagar at HMT Layout, right on the CBI Main Road at number 24. Most days, the place is a bit of a madhouse around lunchtime. The tables are usually full of people from the nearby offices and shops. It is loud with the sound of steel plates hitting the tables and the waiters shouting orders back to the kitchen. We don't go in for fancy menus or decorations. It’s just a regular hotel serving South Indian meals. The walls are plain, and the furniture is built for utility rather than comfort. We focus on getting the food out fast because people around here are always on a tight schedule. The kitchen is a hot place to be, with big pots of sambar bubbling away all day long. We have a small sink for washing hands in the corner that always seems to have a line. Traffic on the CBI Main Road is constant, so there is always a layer of dust on the front windows that we have to clean off every morning. We don't have any big corporate goals. We just want to make sure the food tastes right and that the customers leave with full stomachs. It is a simple way of doing things, but it has kept us going for years. It's just us doing our thing every day until we close up.
