Hotel Samrat Residency

We are based at 173/1 in Seshadripuram, right where the Abhishek Textile Market is. If you’ve ever been to this market, you know it’s crowded with rolls of cloth and people haggling all day. Hotel Samrat Residency is right in the middle of all that activity. Our day starts when the shops open up and the delivery trucks start unloading. It’s a busy environment and we’ve become part of the furniture here. The people staying with us are often traders or folks who have work in the textile district. They don’t expect anything special, just a place to put their bags and rest after a long day in the heat. The building isn't brand new, and the halls can get a bit narrow when there’s a lot of luggage moving around. We do the cleaning ourselves and try to keep the fans running. It gets noisy with the market noise, especially in the afternoons. Sometimes we run out of space in the lobby because someone has too many samples. We don't mind. It's just the way things go in this part of town. We’ve lived through many seasons here, watching the different fabrics go in and out of the market. It’s a very local way of living and we just keep the rooms going for whoever needs them. It’s simple work for us and we just keep at it.
