Hotel Ramanashree - Bangalore

If you walk down 9th Cross in Bangalore, you’ll find us over here at Hotel Ramanashree. We are located on the 12th Main road, which is a fairly central part of the city. The building has been here for a good bit of time, and it shows its age in some spots, but it stays busy. Every morning starts about the same way with the kitchen getting things ready and the staff checking who is checking out. Bangalore is a loud city, and even on the 9th Cross, you can hear the bikes and the occasional cow wandering by. I spend a lot of time making sure the hallways are clear and the laundry is moving. It’s not a fancy corporate lifestyle. It’s more about making sure the fans work and the water is hot when someone needs it. We have a lot of regulars who come through, people who have been staying here for years when they visit Karnataka. The lobby is a bit small, and the furniture has seen better days, but it’s a functional space. I usually have a coffee near the entrance and watch the traffic go by on 12th Main before the afternoon rush starts. It’s a lot of mundane tasks like updating the register by hand or showing someone where the extra pillows are kept. It's just a regular hotel in a regular neighborhood, trying to keep things running without too much fuss.
