Hotel Mezbaan

In the middle of Frazer Town, right near Dhumad Chowkdi, you will come across Hotel Mezbaan. It is a place where we mostly focus on the kitchen. The tables are usually full of people, and the air is always thick with the smell of whatever is cooking on the big stoves in the back. We don't have a lot of space, so you might find yourself sitting quite close to a stranger while you eat. The noise level is high, with the sound of dishes clinking and people shouting out their orders. We have been in this spot for a while, and the walls have seen a lot of diners come and go. Our staff are mostly older men who have worked here for years and know how to handle the lunch rush without getting stressed. We don't have fancy menus with pictures; it's all written out simply on the wall or on a small piece of paper. Sometimes the fans don't quite keep the heat away, but people don't seem to mind much as long as the food is hot. We try to keep the floor swept, but with so many people coming in from the dusty street, it is a constant job. It’s an honest kind of place where you get exactly what you see. We don't put on any airs or pretend to be more than a local eatery for the neighborhood folks who want a decent meal.
