Hotel Jayamahal Palace operates out of this spot near Madeena Masjid on 80 Feet Road in Bangalore. It is located in the Puttappa Compound in Ashwathnagar. The area is always buzzing with traffic and people going to the mosque. We have been here for some time, and the building has its own little quirks and history. It’s not one of those brand-new glass towers; it has a bit more character than that. We spend our mornings checking guests in and making sure the rooms are tidy. The Bangalore weather is usually nice, but the rain can catch us off guard and then we’re running around closing windows. Our staff is mostly local guys who know the Ashwathnagar area well. If you need to find a good spot for tea or a quick snack, we usually have a suggestion. Sometimes the plumbing gives us trouble or a lightbulb flickers, and we have to fix it on the fly. It’s just how things go with older buildings. We don't use a lot of fancy talk about guest experiences. We just want people to have a decent place to sleep while they are in Bangalore. The 80 Feet Road can get really loud, so we try to keep the inside as calm as we can. It’s a lot of work to keep the place running, but we stay busy and try to make sure everything works for our visitors.
