Hotel Deva Residency

Hotel Deva Residency is right here on Kengalhanumanthaiah Road, or what most of us just call Double Road. We are inside Akshata Tower, basically across from the KSRTC main office. Being so close to the bus station means there is always a lot of noise and movement outside. People are always coming in with bags, looking for a place to put their feet up for a night or two. It isn't a fancy place, just a regular building where we keep the rooms ready. My day usually starts early, checking who is checking out and making sure the keys are where they should be. The traffic on Double Road never really stops, so you get used to the sound of horns. We have been here for a bit now, seeing the area change around Lal Bagh. Sometimes the elevator in the tower is busy, especially when the bus office across the street has a lot of commuters. Most people stay here because it is easy to find. It is just a straightforward spot for travelers. We spend a lot of time talking to guests about where to find a quick meal nearby. It is a lot of work keeping up with the laundry and the lobby area, but that is just how it goes in the hotel business. You see all kinds of people passing through these doors. Some are just here for a few hours before a long bus ride, others stay longer. We just keep the lights on and wait for the next person.
