Hotel Arfa

Hotel Arfa is located out in Virgo Nagar, specifically in the Dodda Kanehalli Village area. If you know where the Sowbhagya Bakery is on Old Madras Road, we are in the lane right next to it. It’s a bit of a trek for some people, but it’s our home. We’ve been operating here in Battarahalli for quite some time. The area used to be much quieter before they expanded the road. Now there’s always trucks and buses rumbling by. We mostly deal with locals and people passing through on their way somewhere else. The building isn't the newest, but we try to keep it decent. My brother and I take turns managing the shifts. It’s not always easy, especially when the water supply is low or when the weather gets too hot. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. People just know where we are because of the bakery nearby. Most of the time, it's just about making sure the kitchen is stocked and the floors are swept. We get a lot of regulars who have been coming here for years. They know our names and we know theirs. It feels more like a community spot than a big hotel. We just provide a place for people to sit down and have a meal. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until late at night. That's the way it's always been for us here. We just keep moving and doing the work.
