Holiday Inn Gem Park Ooty

We are tucked away at 102, Eden Park, on 20, Vittal Mallya Road here in Bangalore. It’s a bit funny because the hotel we represent, Holiday Inn Gem Park Ooty, is way up in the hills while we are right in the middle of the city noise. Vittal Mallya Road is always busy with fancy cars and people rushing around. Our office isn't quite as glamorous as the street outside might suggest. We handle the bookings and all the back-end stuff for the hotel. It gets really hectic during the holiday seasons when everyone in Bangalore wants to escape the heat and head up to Ooty. We spend most of our time on the phone, explaining the room types or checking the weather up there to tell the guests. It’s a lot of talking and typing. Sometimes we wish we were up in the mountains ourselves instead of sitting under these tube lights all day. The office is small and we’ve got folders stacked everywhere, but we know where everything is. We’ve been at this address for a while now, and we’ve seen the city change quite a bit from our window. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s a steady job and we like the people we work with, which makes the long hours go by a lot faster. No big secrets, just a regular office life where we try to get the details right for the guests.
