Down here at RMV 2nd Stage, we handle all the electrical bits for cars. Batteries are the main thing, but we look at wiring and lights too. If a car won't start, people usually call us or bring it over if they can get it moving. It’s a dusty job sometimes, working with all those old batteries and wires. We have a lot of tools lying around, and the workbench is always full of something half-taken apart. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop, just a place that knows how to fix a short circuit. My brother and I run the place mostly. We learned a lot from watching our dad work on old trucks. It’s practical stuff. You don't need a computer for everything, sometimes you just need to see where the wire is pinched. We keep different battery brands in the back so we can swap them out fast. The shop doesn't have air conditioning, so we keep the doors wide open to get a breeze. It’s a noisy area, but we’re used to it. Most people around RMV know we’re here if their headlights go out or if the battery dies on a cold morning. We just get to work and try to get people back on their way. We aren't much for small talk when there's a car waiting, but we're fair with everyone who walks in the gate.
