He-man Garments

You can find He-man Garments up on the first floor of Laxmi Complex. We’re at No. 38/3, right in Sudhamanagar near Laibagh Road. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but we’ve been here for a while. The 1st Cross can get a bit crowded with all the other shops around, but that’s the way it goes in this part of town. We spend our days surrounded by fabric and orders. It’s a working space, so don't expect it to look like a showroom. There are piles of things here and there, and the sewing machines are usually going. We’re just a small group of people trying to keep up with everything. It gets hot in the afternoons, but we have the fans going. We don’t have a fancy reception or a big sign. Most people find us by word of mouth or because they’ve been coming here for years. Working in Sudhamanagar means you see a lot of the same faces. We like that. It feels like a real neighborhood. We aren't doing anything revolutionary. We just make garments and try to get them right. Sometimes we’re behind schedule, and sometimes we’re ahead. That’s just life in a workshop. It’s a bit dusty, a bit noisy, but it’s our place. We’ve settled into this unit at Laxmi Complex and it works for us. We'll be here for the foreseeable future, just doing the work and trying to stay out of the rain.
