Hcil

Hcil operates out of a building on 9th Cross in Agarahara Dasarahalli. This is just off Magadi Road in Bangalore 560079. If you know this part of Bangalore, you know it can get quite hectic with the traffic. The office is at number 2 on that cross street. It’s a modest place. We don't have any shiny glass walls or anything like that. It is mostly just white walls and some ceiling fans that hum all day. We spend most of our time staring at spreadsheets or taking calls. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so it feels quite grounded. Sometimes you can hear the kids playing outside or the street vendors calling out. We like it this way because it feels like a real part of the community. Getting to work involves navigating the narrow lanes, but we are used to it by now. The desks are crowded with folders and a few personal items people brought from home. We don’t have a big corporate culture here. We just come in, do our jobs for Hcil, and go home to our families. There is a small tea stall nearby where we go for breaks. It is a simple, straightforward work environment. Nothing is fancy, but the work gets done and the people are decent. We’ve been at this Magadi Road location for a while and it feels like home to most of us. We just keep at it every day.
