You can find Harish Arts over at No.117 on Vidyapeeta Road, not too far from the BBMP office in Kengeri. It’s a busy road so there’s always something happening outside. We do a lot of traditional art work and some commercial signs for the shops nearby. Our space is filled with frames, paints, and different kinds of wood for making signs. It’s a bit messy, to be honest, but we know where everything is. We don't have a receptionist or anything, so if you walk in and nobody’s at the front, we’re probably in the back working on a project. Kengeri is a nice place to work because it still feels like a community. We know the people at the BBMP office and the other shop owners on the street. Sometimes we get a project that's a bit unusual, like painting a mural or a very specific type of wedding board. We use old tools that have been around for years because they still work fine. There’s no need for fancy gadgets when a good brush does the job. We don’t really do any big marketing, people just see our work around town and ask who did it. It’s a simple life and we enjoy the creative part of it the most. We try to be fair and just do a good job for the neighbors. There is always a lot of sawdust on the floor by evening.
