Our office for Hampshire Hotels & Resorts India Pvt. Ltd is based in the Ranka Nest Apartment building in Okalipuram. It’s unit 161. It’s a bit different because we are inside a residential complex, so it doesn't feel like a cold office building. We deal with all the hotel and resort stuff from right here in Bangalore. The rooms are filled with folders and travel brochures. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped when everyone is in at the same time, but we make it work. Okalipuram is a busy area, so there is always something happening outside. We spend a lot of time on our computers checking bookings and talking to the different properties we look after. It’s a lot of back-and-forth communication. We don’t wear suits and ties every day unless there’s a specific reason for it. Usually, it’s just jeans and shirts. We have a small kitchen area where we make tea and talk about our weekends. It’s a pretty friendly atmosphere. We’ve been in this apartment for a while now, and the neighbors are used to us coming and going. Sometimes the elevator takes a while, so we just use the stairs to get some exercise. It’s not a glamorous setup, but it’s where we do our planning and management. We focus on the details of the trips and stays without needing a flashy lobby to show off. It’s just a practical space for our team.
