If you look behind the BWSSB office on Magadi Road, you’ll find us at Guru Art. We are specifically at No.40/1, on the 2nd Main in Vidyaranya Nagar, right near the Vijaynagar entrance. It’s a bit tucked away, but once you find the entrance it’s easy. We mostly do sign painting, some hand-drawn art, and banners for local events. The shop is usually smelling like paint and thinner, which some people don't like, but we don’t mind it. We have canvases and boards leaning against almost every wall. There isn't much space to sit, so customers usually stand while we talk about what they need. Our hands are almost always stained with some color or another. It’s a small family-run thing, so there’s no corporate stuff going on here. We take our time with the brushes because you can’t rush good lines. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a big festival coming up and everyone needs their banners at the same time. The floor has a lot of paint drips from years of work, which gives it some character I guess. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the shop and our reputation in the Magadi Road area. People just know us by word of mouth mostly. We just keep doing what we know how to do, one brushstroke at a time. It’s a messy but good way to spend the day.
