About Guru Amar Granites – Building & Construction Material in Bengaluru
If you drive out to Hoskote on the Malur Road, you will find us at Plot-48 in Dhandu Palia Village. It is a big open space with lots of heavy stone slabs lying around. Most of the day is spent outside in the sun or under the shed. The granite gets very hot in the afternoon. We have the cutting machines running and the sound is quite loud, you get used to it after a few years. There is always a layer of grey dust on our boots and the trucks. We don't have a fancy showroom. It is just the yard and a small room where we keep the ledger books. Neighbors from the village walk past and say hello while we are loading the trailers. It takes a lot of muscle to move these pieces around and we have to be careful not to chip the edges. The water for the saws runs through the drains and we have to clear them out every week. Sometimes the power goes out and everything goes quiet for an hour which is a nice break honestly. We just keep working until the sun goes down and then we lock the gates. It is a simple setup but it works for us out here. We don't do anything special, just handle the stone and wait for the next order to come in.
