Our place is located in Munimarappa Garden, right along Nandidurga Road. It is a fairly central spot which makes it convenient, although the traffic on Nandidurga Road can be a real struggle in the evenings. We have been operating out of this location for a while now, dealing with different kinds of stone imports and exports. The office is small and functional, filled with samples and piles of paperwork that seem to never go away. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or checking crates that come in from the port. It is a bit different from a regular retail shop because we deal with a lot of bulk movement. We do not have a fancy display area with spotlights. If you come by, you will likely find us checking over a manifest or inspecting a batch of stone for quality. We are a small team and everyone does a bit of everything, from answering the door to helping load a vehicle. It is not a very formal environment; we just focus on getting the work done and making sure the stone gets to where it needs to go. We have gotten to know the other business owners on this stretch of the road over the years. It is a busy life, but it keeps us on our toes and we enjoy the challenge of working with such heavy, natural materials.
