Granites

Our business is simply called Granites, and you can find us at 367 JP Nagar. We’ve been working with stone in this area for a long time. JP Nagar used to be much quieter back when we started, but now it’s full of energy and new buildings. Our yard is where we keep the slabs, and it’s usually a bit of a mess with stone dust and water from the cutters. It’s heavy, physical work, so we don't spend much time sitting behind a desk. Most of the day is spent showing people the different types of granite we have and helping them pick something for their homes or projects. We don't use any fancy sales tactics; the stone usually speaks for itself. It’s a messy job and we’re often wearing boots and old clothes. The office is just a small corner of the shop where we keep the invoices and take calls. We’ve seen the neighborhood change from residential plots to big apartments, but we just keep doing what we do. It’s honest work that leaves your hands feeling rough at the end of the day. We don't have any big corporate goals, we just want to get the stone cut right and delivered on time. It’s a straightforward way to make a living in a part of the city we know well.
