Granite King

If you’ve ever driven past Lumbini Gardens or headed toward the Hebbal Flyover, you might have seen Granite King. We’re located over in Kadugondanahalli, right near Nagenhalli. It’s a dusty part of the world because of all the stone and construction going on around here. We spend most of our time out in the yard or the warehouse area dealing with slabs and heavy lifting. It’s not the kind of job where you stay clean for very long. There’s always a layer of stone dust on everything, including the old desk in the corner where we keep the invoices. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. The traffic near the flyover can be a nightmare in the evenings, so we try to get our loading and unloading done early in the day. It’s hard work, and your back definitely feels it by the time Friday rolls around. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights. People just come by, look at what we have in stock, and we talk about what they need for their houses or buildings. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, especially when it rains and the ground gets muddy. We just pull on our boots and keep moving. It’s a straightforward business, really. We show up, move some stone, and go home.
